The Southland Chevrolet Club Inc was founded by Bill Rodgers and Alistair McDowall.
The first meeting was held on the 6th of June 1984.
We have our monthly meeting on the first Thursday of the month in our clubrooms
at 102 Metzger Street Invercargill, where we endeavour to organise car runs
or get togethers in some form every month.
Our main event of the year is Super Chevy Sunday which is held over Labour weekend,
usually in Cromwell.
However since our first Super Chevy Nationals in 1995 turned out to be such a success,
we decided to hold the Nationals every 5 years in Invercargill.
We are a non-profit organisation and rely on sponsorship to run the Nationals.
We are a family oriented bunch of enthusiasts who
are passionate about Chevrolet automobiles.
New members are most welcome to attend club meetings,
You do not necessarily have to own a Chevrolet to join,
but you will require a healthy respect for all the GM brands
and wish to be part of a fun filled club with family values
who all enjoy a good time and some great company.
